About This Artwork: These are paintings from actual pictures of my family. In some of the pictures, I do not even know who the people are or what their names are. I have a box of family pictures & most of them do not include me. My family did not include me. So I painted these to have an album of pictures to display on my wall, like everyone else has in their houses. Everyone looks happy. Nothing is really like this, except in a photograph. These images lie, but I think it's the hope of how we wish it all could be that inspires us to hang these pretenses on our walls. We all want to be loved & never are enough it seems.
