Fading

It’s that time of day when I start fading away.

I’ve been working on all the cut-outs for the big 36 x 36 inch panel.

There must be at least 50 pieces to this thing, and I started to get really tired. I’ve been up since seven drawing out a new landscape and prepping a few watercolors too and I’m just starting to fade right about now.

I was just picking out which pieces on the panel need to be made of fabric. As you can see in the picture, and pulled them from the composition and stacked them to the bottom left so I could use them as patterns to cut the fabric, but when I walked into the house, I plopped down here at my desk instead of picking out fabrics.

In order to do that, I have to take my closet apart and pull out my giant bin of fabric and start picking out what would be what. Then cut swatches and prep them to be starched. I have to starch the heck out of them or else I can’t work with them on the panel. It’s the only way they will glue down easily.

But I don’t feel like doing any of that right now. I feel like taking a nap. I’m always fighting the nap, thinking I’ll miss out on something, but I should just take one. I just hate losing that last bit of sunlight, but oh well. That’s the breaks. I can iron in the dark.
