Maybe you’re wondering how mine went since Saturday was probably one of the most important days ever. Well, the verdict is in and according to the jury (the many little birdies and forest animals that surround me and follow me wherever I go), it went fantastic! The whole night played out beyond my expectations, even though I really didn’t have any expectations. Honestly, I just wanted to get through it. Which I did. It wasn’t as torturous as I thought it would be either, probably because I felt so incredibly supported.
As hard as I tried to stay up til midnight on New Years Eve, I just couldn’t make it. So, it’s official. I’m old!
I woke up to 2019, early, as usual, and felt much the same as I did the year before. Only now I feel that stupid obligation to make changes to “better” myself. Great. More pressure.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I was thankful for my food. Not everyone gets to eat. Perhaps it’s the one day of the year we take real time out to think about that. Or for many of us, an additional day. Either way, we think about it while stuffing ourselves with potatoes and gravy. Some wealthier people buy only organic foods, some support local farms and businesses, and many eat with a conscience. That’s all good, but people are still starving. It’s so sad that anyone has to when there’s enough wealth in the world to feed the population a few times over.
