Frequently Asked Questions

Do you sell your art?
Yes. You might want to read testimonials from some of the happy people that have purchased my work. I have created almost 1000 works of art and have a lot of experience in selling it. My goal is to make sure that every buyer is treated like family. I aim to make you happy, or else! There is a PRICE link next to each painting, along with its description unless it is otherwise sold. My prices can sometimes be negotiated depending on the circumstances, like where you discovered my work.

Are you represented by any galleries?
I am represented by Craig Krull Gallery in the Los Angeles area.

What kind of payments do you accept?
I can work out most anything - cash, check, credit card, wire transfer, or PayPal.

When buying through my website, a small window will open when clicking on "price" with a link to checkout via PayPal with the total minus tax and shipping. I will follow up with you in an email on the shipping shortly after. If you prefer to pay by some other means, you can email me here and we can work out a different form of payment arrangement.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes I do! A lot of people don't know this, but I offer very easy payment plans. All you have to do is ask. It is built on mutual trust. My goal is this: if you really love my work, that's enough for me. I will figure out a way that you can have it.

Do you do commissions?
I do, but I have strict policies on how I do them. I must feel comfortable with the buyer being well acquainted with my work. Commissions are quoted at higher prices and are determined through a ton of correspondence, which is just to insure that my collectors are fully satisfied with what they receive at the end of the process.

Is there any kind of guarantee when ordering off your website?
Absolutely! If for some reason you are unhappy with the work you ordered after it arrives, for any reason at all, you can return it. I would hate to think you weren't fully satisfied, if not enthusiastic.

What kind of shipping do you offer?
I do my own packaging and shipping, worldwide via UPS insured. I am very careful and meticulous when packaging my work. In most cases, the buyer is responsible for paying shipping. We can work out which speed works best for you.

How long have you been making art?
Since I was a child. I got serious about art at 16 or 17.

Are you a full time artist?
Yes. I became full time at visual art around 1997.

What mediums do you use?
Mostly oil paint with elements of collage, like thick pattern paper, fabrics, and sometimes embroidery. The brand of oil paint I usually use is Gamblin. Here is my palette.

Do you do private studio visits?
Yes, depending. You can email me to set up a studio visit in Northeast Los Angeles, or a gallery visit in Santa Monica.

Do you offer prints on your website?
Yes. However, most of the prints I offer are fine art prints, not many reproductions. Some high quality reproductions of mine are offered at Gallery Direct.

Who built your website?
This site was designed and built by my boyfriend, mjp, and I. And no, it is not a template. We designed it from scratch. It runs off a MySQL database and it is written in php/css and uses Bootstrap.

Can I pay you guys to build a website like this one for me?

Do you still play drums?
Not really. Well, maybe sometimes.

Can you offer some advice for a beginner artist?
Yes. Whatever you do, no matter how bad it gets, don't ever give up. If you would like more advice, email me or follow my blog.

How can I get Dan stickers?
