I guess I should be promoting the upcoming Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours. It starts the first weekend in October, and I’m participating with artists Teresa Watson and Lili Todd. We are sharing Teresa’s studio near “downtown” Joshua Tree and will be there all three weekends: October 7th and 8th, 14th and 15th, and 21st and 22nd from 10 am to 5 pm.

Changes a’Coming

Over the last week or so, I’ve been rethinking my newsletter schedule and a few other things as well. Since the dawn of the internet, and even before, I’ve been sending out a seasonal newsletter to my mailing list. I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how I used to send handmade ones in the early 90s. I’d stay up all night making color copies at a nearby Kinkos, cut and paste them, compile them all, and staple them together. (It was the middle of the night because that’s when Kinkos charged half-price for color copies.) I might have been a little crazy back then to do all that work.

Hearts and Fathers (and Big-hearted Sisters)

I saw my primary care doc the other day, and it went well. (Finally!) Turns out my echocardiogram looked good. What a relief. I only have to get through tomorrow’s stress test (yuck!) and a couple of other tests to fully see how my heart and lungs are doing, but so far, nothing is too horrible really.
