No Thanks to…Anyone

Well, my eyes are feeling a bit better, or a lot better, but they still hurt some. Yes, that’s right. I said my eyes-plural. It went from my right eye to both eyes after another day of pain.

I went to the ER since I wasn’t able to get in with an ophthalmologist last week. The problem persisted and got even worse than what I wrote about. The doctor sent me to the wrong type of specialist–a retina guy. So the ER I went. They didn’t do anything there, except measure my eye pressure and give me drops. They told me I needed to see an ophthalmologist that can address my lupus vasculitis issues. No duh. So I’m seeing one today. Looks like I’m going to have to do that damn fluorescein angiogram again, which is no fun at all.

Despite all this, and for meer distraction, I’m managing to get my tasks done. Like I moved some things around in my studio so I can work on paintings easier–two at once. I started a couple of pieces (got all the yellow/gold color on), plus I am working on my summer newsletter, which I plan on sending out on Monday.

I’m trying to stay off the computer because of my eyes, but that’s obviously impossible for me. I just can’t.

We are planning on moving my entire storage space home in the next few weeks and have been organizing what’s already in the garage to make room. We spent Saturday doing that.

TIME LAPSE VIDEO

I’ve asked a moving company for an estimate on how much it would cost to do it for me. I know I will never be able to afford it, but it’s going to be so difficult to do it ourselves: translation=mjp will have to do 99% of it because I’m physically useless. And the shelving units need two people to move, as they each weigh a ton. There are a total of ten. I don’t know how that is going to happen without another helper on both sides of the move. That’s not counting driving a 17-foot truck filled with stuff over the mountains.
