About This Artwork: Moppet is half child, half ragdoll who stays optimistic despite dire circumstances. She comes from a family that exists in a black hole trying to discourage her. Moppet forgives them because she knows they can’t help it. Here she has turned a half of a black hole into a rainbow, and all the stresses that weighed on her into a party in the desert.
This is one of the drawings I made out in Joshua Tree for Scribbles in a Sandstorm. I rented a house up against the National Park for 10 days that had a detached art studio. It was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. It was silent and peaceful and I managed to create a ton of work. THIS PIECE IS FRAMED.
