All Done But None (Careless Press) 2007: This 32-page handmade book, about indecision offers up true-to-life stories as various options for the book's ultimate direction: no place. Anecdotes of ironic childhood tales include bad dreams, playing drums, and revelations of a dysfunctional family life and even childhood molestation, while maintaining the artist's humorous spirit.

Limited to only 20, each book was painstakingly handwritten and hand illustrated in watercolor and ink over a full year's time, making each book an original work of art. This means that every book is slightly different. Each 7 x 11.75 inch (closed) book includes a 2-color etching, a dry point print, Solar plate print, and letter pressed handmade end papers from Nepal. It is hand bound in hard covers with custom stamping, and starched linen with a slipcover.

All Done But None is part of many major library collections, such as the Nation Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, UC Irvine, UC San Diego Mandeville Library, and the University of Washington Special Collections.

"...Es, a self-taught Los Angeles artist with a burgeoning career, is represented in this show by two of her handmade artist's books, which display charming drawings and witty writing. Her appealing approach creates a disjuncture - while also allowing a deeper engagement - with her achingly brutal statements about her difficult childhood."
