The Journal Project by Ayin Es

An ongoing diary experiment on paper garment patterns.

The Journal Project by Ayin Es - 50 drawings installed

The Journal Project began in March of 2004 and continues to this day. Hundreds of PIECES SUCH AS THESE have been accumulated, as it is a continuous, stream-of-consciousness diary created on manila, hand-cut garment patterns. Pencil, pen, inks, and rubber stamps are used on each piece and 50 or so pieces are installed at a time in a somewhat mosaic-like fashion, creating the illusion of plotting out master patterns for a marker making. Each piece is carefully pinned to the wall using small colored glass-head sewing pins.
