About This Artwork: I titled this "Survivor" because I did not want it to be yet another painting about me being a victim, because that, I am not. Like the painting seeming to be upside down, so is the title, and it is dedicated to all victims, especially those without voices, to be heard. They are survivors in the way that they have been SEEN but have made some difference.

It is dedicated to the Alabama 4 of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham in 1963. It is dedicated to childhood rape and injustice. It is dedicated to kids unseen, depreciated, underestimated and invalidated.
