About This Artwork: When I was little, my mom took me with her to the beauty supply store. In the store was another lady with a little girl about my age. Both of us started wandering around the store. The other mother was looking into a glass showcase and I slithered up beside her. Without looking at who I was, she grabbed my hand and told me to stay close because we would be leaving to go home soon. I actually thought it was possible she might accidentally bring home the wrong kid. I was both scared and hopeful.
