About This Artwork: This is basically a lucid dream painting of a town that consisted strictly of mothers and daughters shopping and running errands. I was there with my mom and we all wore yellow dresses and there were no cars, yet there was a freeway. Looking at this painting many months after painting it I realize why I made it and where it comes from. When I was a kid I wanted my mother all to myself. I had fantasies of living this life - just the two of us without brothers or fathers, as if we could save each other and live happily ever after.
