About This Artwork: I sketched out The Sander the day I knew I should have been out in the garage working on prepping my birch panels rather than sitting around, writing about my feelings right there and then. My feeling were that I wasn't getting enough done and it was best described in this simple sketch. When I painted it, I did nothing to change the sketch because I felt it said exactly what I wanted it to say. That's how I painted it. Simple. Honest. Direct.
