About This Artwork: This painting came eerily naturally. I did not know the gumballs were coming until after I worked on the background for about a week or more. I thought of gumball machines and found a reference online of Israeli candy machines, but I never wrote the Hebrew inside of the labels because I began to feel like my work already had too many Jewish references, plus, I had just been attacked for being Jewish shortly before this and I suppose I allowed this to affect me.
