About This Artwork: When a master pattern is finished, it is laid out on a table close together-much closer than this as to not waste any bit of space-and a picture is taken of it with an ultra-violet light. It is then printed out on a thin tissue paper called dot paper. This is called a marker. This paper is put over the top of a large stack of fabric which is then cut with a machine in garment manufacturing.
