The Journal Project began in March of 2004 and continues to this day. Hundreds of PIECES SUCH AS THESE have been accumulated, as it is a continuous, stream-of-consciousness diary. I've created it all on manila, hand-cut garment patterns. It is thick, 125 lb paper. Pencil, ballpoint pen, and other inks, along with rubber stamps are used on each piece as if prepared for manufacturing. Fifty or so pieces are installed at a time in a somewhat mosaic-like fashion, creating the illusion of plotting out one large master pattern for marker making. Each of these pieces are carefully pinned to the wall using small colored glass-head sewing pins.
