The Journal Project

An ongoing diary experiment.

Using only pencil, felt and ball-point pens concurrent with ink stamping, as if the pattern were going "out for manufacturing," these drawings are created in the spur of the moment without any previous planning. Pattern shapes are prepared just as they would be for the apparel industry, however, satirical textile terms, cuttingroom rants, poems, dreams, mixed with various anecdotes, such as personal worries about being an artist and working in the Los Angeles art world are sometimes incorporated into these candid compositions.
