About This Artwork: This is the original ink drawing I made for the letterpress cover for Monsters on Jasmine St. published by Bottle of Smoke Press. It comes loosely from a painting I did in 2001 of my family called The Miserables. The original painting does not include me, nor do many of the paintings of my family I did back then, but I feel this drawing is more accurate and telling of any of the drawings and paintings I have done of my family as portraits.
