About This Artwork: This is a pair of watercolor paintings from actual pictures of my family. Only one is not an actual photo, but painted from memory. I have a box of family pictures and most of them do not include me. My family did not include me. So I painted these to have an album of pictures to display on my wall, like everyone else has in their houses. Everyone looks happy. Nothing is really like this, except in a photograph. These images lie, but I think it's the hope of how we wish it all could be that inspires us to hang these pretenses on our walls. We all want to be loved and never are enough it seems.
